The Curtis Winchester Band (formerly known as Blues Depot) has
been true to the rhythm of the blues since appearing on the
"blues scene" of Westchester County, New York in 1994
as Blues Depot. Their performances caught the ear of Numa Saisselin,
then Executive Director of The Paramount Center for the Arts,
who gave Blues Depot an opportunity to perform at the theatre
as an opening act for C. J. Chenier & The Red Hot Louisiana
Band. It was a night of good times at the Paramount and this
led to a future appearance with Clarence "Gatemouth"
Brown. But the local club spot is where the band excels, mixing
traditional blues with classic rhythm, giving audiences a sound
to listen and dance to. From Mt. Vernon to Peekskill the Curtis
Winchester Band provides a night of good music and great times
for Westchester County and beyond. |
